Driving By Birthday Card (Sale-a-Bration 2022)

Hopefully you’re aware of Stampin’ Up!’s new January – June 2022 Mini Catalog that was released on January 4th.  Along with the ‘mini’ it’s also Sale-a-Bration time once again.  From now until February 28th, you can take advantage of Sale-a-Bration.

What IS Sale-a-Bration?  It is the opportunity to ‘earn’, for every $50 spent for regular Annual or Mini Catalog product, one Sale-a-Bration item for FREE.

As a Stampin’ Up! Demo I was able to pre-earn Sale-a-Bration (SAB) sets in December.  And I’m ready to use them now.  Today’s card is made with the Driving By stamp set shown on page 7 of the SAB brochure .  It’s for my now 15 year old granddaughter who has just earned her driving permit.  We’re in Idaho.  She’s allowed to drive with a licensed adult until she accumulates 50 hours.  I’m not sure of the next step but it might be that full-time this-is-real driver’s license. She’s behind the wheel at every opportunity!

Driving By, Sale-a-Bration Spring 2022

At first I wasn’t sure about this stamp set but, because of the vehicles, I knew I wanted to use it for new-permit-driver-Nora’s card.  As I got going I had a grand old creative time!

Basic Black card stock was used for the Happy Birthday greeting, backed with a small piece of Foam Adhesive Sheet to make it pop up.  All of the vehicles were popped up using regular Dimensionals.

The Shimmer Vellum needed a little ‘pop’ between it and the card so I repeated using the polka dot pattern from the Sunshine & Rainbows 6″ x 6″ Sale-a-Bration Designer Series Paper.

Nora's card/gift box
We have a little family tradition of putting the $$ amount of the birthday so…..there’s a little gift card envelope inside the card flap with three $5’s slipped in. Teenagers can always use $$.  And in the Love You Always Treat Box:  hmmmm…..notification of a pack of Brights Stampin’ Markers which are due in the mail on Wednesday!
