This Little Piggy has been Released

When This Little Piggy came to live in my home about 4 months ago, it was used once or twice and then hidden, alphabetically, in my stamp cupboard.  My intentions were good.  As soon as I had time I was going to make a bunch of cards using this oh-so-cute and charming stamp set.

Also, my 10-year old granddaughter just loves pigs.  She’s almost holding her breath until she can have her own.  (Which won’t be happening any time soon according to her parents!)

Yesterday was dedicated to This Little Piggy and I released the stamp set from my cupboard.  Now I’m looking forward to sharing the six cards I made.  I stacked some pigs atop each other–the set really lends itself to pigs standing on pigs–and I stamped a bunch of individual pigs.  Then (sneak peak words here) I colored each This Little Piggy scene with Stampin’ Up!’s soon to be released Stampin’ Blends alcohol markers.  I really wanted to give these markers a test work out.  Thumbs up.  But more about them when it’s closer to release time.

Here is today’s This Little Piggy card which I’m calling One Little Piggy.

This card was my first attempt using the soon-to-be-released Blends alcohol markers.  I need more practice!  But they’re smooth and fun.

My goal with this card was to place this little piggy in a pig-pen……with an October/Hallowe’en spider web.
