It’s good to be back into the rhythm of stamping on a normal schedule once again after all the spontaneity and busy-ness of the holiday season. That includes all of my daily stamping plus stamping with friends at my local little library in the woods, aka Mi Wuk Library/Community Center on the third Thursday of the month and then my monthly Card Buffet which is on the last Tuesday of the month. Stamping with friends is fun.
A few days ago was our first Stamping for Adults at the Mi Wuk Library for 2018. Eight gals joined me for a fun two hours of stamping, sharing, creating and laughing. This is the first card we made, using the beautiful and versatile Heartfelt Blooms stamp set from Sale-A-Bration 2018.
The Heartfelt Blooms stamp set features the new Distinktive* (*patent pending) style image where the inked up stamp lays down the ink in different opacities giving the finished image more depth. It’s really and simply beautiful.
Aren’t the many shades of the Bermuda Bay ink amazing?
We started our card by stamping the floral image, using Bermuda Bay class ink, several times in the lower left corder of the card front.
Then add the Bermuda Bay (3-1/2″ x 4-3/4″) and Basic Black (3-1/8″ x 4-5/8″ layers. Finish by stamping the main image again on a 3″ x 4-1/4″ layer of Whisper White cardstock, positioning the flowers about 1/2″ from the top, leaving room for a greeting at the bottom of the layer.
Add a ‘jewel’ of some sort in the center of the flower for a touch of bling.
This is Roberta’s card, made at the library:
It excites me to say that 3 participants purchased $50 Stampin’ Up! product so they could earn this stamp set as their free Sale-A-Bration item. I’ll be sharing another project in a few days using this same Heartfelt Blooms stamp set but with a completely different look.
I can’t tell you how nice is it to be stamping on a normal schedule again. And I’m keeping my work table pretty clean to boot.
