On the last Monday of each month I host a Kit Together in my home. Several local stampers (like 6 or 7) come over between 1:00 and 3:00 and we chat and laugh as we assemble a Stampin’ Up! kit. Most of the kits are the current Paper Pumpkins but occasionally someone will have a kit from the Stampin’ Up! catalog or online through the Stampin’ Up! store. You can find those kits here.

Kits are great if you don’t have a lot of stamping supplies and/or if you don’t want to accumulate a whole lot of supplies. Everything you need for the kit project is right inside the box! The last day to order each month’s Paper Pumpkin Kit is on the 10th of the month–whatever month it happens to be. Here’s the link to my Paper Pumpkin. Delivery is 4-8 days (more or less) after the 10th of the month. And then if you’re local, my Kit Together is on that last Monday of the month.
Hosting a Kit Together is fun for me because the only prep I have is clearing the table and adding a leaf or two depending upon how many will be attending. I set out Paper Pumpkin grid papers at each place and away we go……. If you’re out of this area, but are a Paper Pumpkins subscriber, then you too could host a Kit Together. Try it and let me know how much fun you and your friends had!
Kitting Together is a wonderfully healthy event — healthy for the soul — to get together for an all inclusive project and just chat, laugh and create a finished project. Groups are relaxing. Being a part of a group is healthy. And the “mess” and “prep” are minimal. Any stress is minimal as well.
You know what else is good? ……the laughter that evolves! My husband usually sort of disappears when the girls are here but he always comments at the laughter he’s heard. Yes it’s healthy for sure.
February’s Paper Pumpkin Kit is Hearts for You. Note regarding Paper Pumpkin kits: they must be purchased by the 10th of the month. I usually order 1 or 2 extras “just in case” and they’re grabbed up by one of my attendees almost immediately. If you ever want me to pre-order a kit for you just let me know before noon on the 10th of “the month”.
The fee for the Kit Together is $25 which is the same price as ordering and shipping for each kit. If you have your own Paper Pumpkin kit your class fee is $FREE. If you’d prefer to order a kit from Stampin’ Up!’s website and you place your own order the class fee is $FREE. And if I place the order for the kit you’d like it’s just the price of the kit plus good old tax/shipping. And then it’s a guaranteed fun several hours at my house! I offer my Kit Togethers on the last Monday of every month. It’s a fun way to gather together without a lot of prep! Put it on your calendar. 🙂
