Gift Box for Hubby’s Birthday Gift

I’m really tickled with the little box I made using the Gift Box Punch Board for my sweetie’s Give-a-“Hoot” cards that I shared in yesterday’s post.

I used a piece of black patterned paper from the Neutrals 12 x 12 Designer Series Paper Stack, the Gift Box Punch Board, and the Botanical Builder Framelits Dies and Tags & Labels Framelits Dies.

Before folding it up I put a bit of tissue paper inside to hold the 10 cards in place.

If you just follow the instructions on the Gift Box Punch Board it’s very easy to make a box.  TIP:  Don’t press too hard on Designer Series Paper with the scoring tool — it can tear.   I used Mini Glue Dots to secure the leaves die cut from the Botanical Builder Framelits Dies. The belly band was made from a 3/4″ wide strip of  the same pattern of the Neutrals Designer Series Paper Stack that was 14″ long.  Add a little scrap of the same pattern, adhering it with Tear & Tape Adhesive or Fast Fuse Adhesive.  Be sure to NOT let it stick to the box since the intention is for this belly band to slip on and off of the package.

I die cut the gift tag using the Tags & Labels Framelits, the smallest of each grouping of the curved framelits for layering.  I attached it to the leaves with a Dimensional and tied a piece of Silver 1/8″ Ribbon through the little hole.
