Nora, my 8 year old granddaughter, and I got out into my stampin’ studio last Saturday before Reese and her family arrived for a few days of R&R at our home. Nora wanted to make some Easter cards for her family. I gave her the steps and she did all of the work from measuring, scoring and cutting her card stock to mounting her clear mount stamps on the Clear Blocks, to stamping her image and then cutting it out using the Big Shot and Deco Labels Framelits Collection.
When Reese arrived Nora suggested that she too make some cards for her family. Nora got out the necessary supplies (those that she had used the previous day) and proceeded to guide Reese.
Moving back to the other side of the tables so they could continue with the inside of their cards, the brothers checked in (you can never have too many 10 and 11 year old brothers in the room when you’re stamping, can you?) and photo-bombed the photo I was taking of the girls working diligently.
Here are the girls’ finished cards:
The girls chose all of their supplies, colors and placements. I just watched and guided. (Confession: I did tie their Crisp Cantaloupe Baker’s Twine.) It was so much fun to behold! I love the coloring they did on their Easter Chicks!
Thanks for stopping in today. I hope you enjoyed the work of the next generation of stampers. I sure loved watching them.
