16th birthdays are very special indeed, especially when it’s your granddaughter who’s celebrating. And this granddaughter holds your name as part of her own. Nora Blythe is the amazing young lady. I made her a one of a kind (for me) Tri-Fold card, pulling out several retired sets of stamps in the process.
Product List
I had a lot of creative imaginative fun making her card knowing the basic bright colors I wanted to use. I had to go to retired stamp sets that I have held on to for moments or cards like today’s.
- The HIP HIP HOORAY came from the Birthday Delivery stamp set.
- It’s Your Day came from the Itty Bitty Birthdays stamp set.
- The words happy happy happy also came from the Itty Bitty Birthdays stamp set but I omitted the word ‘day’ from that stamp.
- This finished card fits into a slim line envelope.
How’d I Raise the Numbers 1 and 6?
I pulled out my very infrequently used Foam Adhesive Sheets and die cut them using the ‘1‘ and ‘6‘ from the Playful Alphabet Dies. I also die cut small number pieces from the Rainbow Glimmer Paper. Then I placed the foam number on the card front, just like a Dimensional. I topped the foam number, after removing the protective layer that’s just above the sticky part (again, the same way as using a Dimensional), with the glimmering die cut number. Fun!
I stamped the Happy Birthday greeting, from the Birthday Delivery stamp set, using Coastal Cabana classic ink, on the inside of the card. The circles were die cut using the Layering Circles Dies and polka dotted Designer Series Paper from the 6″ x 6″ Brights packet. The bows were formed with the lovely soft ribbon from the 2022-2024 In-Color offerings which nicely enough matched the colors I was using. They were attached with Glue Dots.
I hope you’ve enjoyed today’s 16th birthday tri-fold card. It was lots of fun to make for sure. I’m attaching a pdf (oops this time it’s a photo image!) with the diagram for creating the Tri-Fold card. You can also
