Also this past week, Thursday to be exact, I created a shhhhh-birthday invitation for my husband’s upcoming ‘milestone’ birthday. As usual, my timing was a bit behind the curve but that’s just the way I work sometimes!
I always seem to need inspiration to get going and this time it was from Etsy.

I didn’t have time to order the invitation from the vendor–she had some time restrictions that added to my dilly-dallying in getting the project underway. So……….My Digital Studio to the rescue.

The neat thing about making a 5″ x 7″ postcard invitation with My Digital Studio is that there is a blank backside. I noticed that when previewing my almost finished project. Of course I couldn’t have that! So I added some photos of Russ’s past, most of which were from the 20 years we’ve been together.

If you could see young Russell in the top left family photo, he is whistling! Top row, left. The other photos are from the sublime (our 1997 wedding in the back yard) to the uber-casual camping trip.
I ordered my postcards on Friday via Stampin’ Up!‘s printing resource and they should be arriving this next week. Exciting! For $13.80 I’ll be getting 10 full color double sided 5″ x 7″ postcard type invitations plus envelopes. I’m really tickled.
My suggestion to YOU: try it. I think you’ll like it. If I can offer you any support or guidance, please call on me. There are soooooooo many things besides invitations you can do with My Digital Studio.
Have a great Saturday. And don’t forget to turn your clocks forward tonight. Ugh. I wish they could just leave our clocks alone!
