Daffodil Delight Suite from the 2025 January – April Mini Catalog

Life in the fast lane has kept me away from the fun of posting my latest stamping creations but today’s Daffodil Delight images just had to be shared! I created this set of cards for swapping with some of my stamping side-lines. The Stampin’ Suite I used is found on pages 34-37 in the new January-April 2025 Mini Catalog.

Measurements/Tips for Today’s Card

  • 1- Card Base: 8-1/2″ x 5-1/2″, scored at 4-1/4″ (Daffodil Delight)
  • Designer Series Paper (DSP): 2 x 1″ x 3″ and 1″ x 4-1/4″
  • Center Area: Background layer (Old Olive) : 1-7/8″ x 3-1/8″; Basic White Layer: 1-3/4″ x 3″
  • Old Olive and Basic White scraps for die cutting the “wishing” and “greeting”

Assembly Tips

  • Use “green glue/Tombow” (or adhesive of your choice) for adhering the upper right and lower left pieces of DSP first, placing them about 1/16th inch from card front edges.
    • Then attach the 1″ x 4″ pieces of DSP on the left and right sides of card front.
  • Attach center background piece (Old Olive) in center of card using same Tombow glue.
  • Stamp image/s of your choice on the remaining Basic White layer and then attach it to the background layer with glue.
  • Die cut the two layers of “wishing” and carefully attach the thinner layer to the background layer using tiny dots of Tombow. Attach both to the card front in a position that makes you happy, also using Tombow.
  • Stamp greeting on a piece of scrap paper (I used Pecan Pie) and die cut it with the narrow die in the set. Attach to card front with Tombow glue as well.
  • Simple and DONE!
  • Try this card with any pattern of Designer Series Paper and some coordinating stamps. It’s really an easy one! My ‘wishing’ was a bit technical, telling me to be cautious when glueing the two layers together. But just take your time and it’s really not that hard.
Multiple 'wishing' swap cards

My goal for 2025 is sending our FOUR hand stamped cards every week. OK, maybe at least TWO! When’s the last time you had something personal (not counting recent Christmas cards!) in your mailbox. There is so much junk mail these days and I’d like to see a real campaign put together to counteract that lousy trend. Leave a quick little message below when you’ve sent someone a card. It can be birthday, just a hug, silly, offering support…….anything. Just send a card and surprise the heck out of someone.

The new January – April 2025 Mini Catalog is out, along with the January February Sale-a-Bration brochure. Please ask if you’d like me to send you a copy (or both). Hopefully by tomorrow (Tuesday) I’ll get the link posted on my sidebar so you can simply download a copy.

Thank you so much for popping in today. Please leave a comment below if you’re looking for a specific project or technique. And don’t forget to make a card and then make someone’s day by sending it to them.
