It’s hard to believe that I’ve been living in Idaho for a full 6 years already–since middle December of 2019) It’s wonderful to enjoy all of the neat fun awesome stampers I’ve met in these six years. Thank you all for playing and creating with me. Stamping is both stimulating and so good for the soul. Woohoo!! And I’m not ignoring those of you throughout the country and even the world. I’ve met and stamped and shared with such amazing women.
During my Christmas creating I decided to finally put together a project I’d seen on line last winter—if not the winter before. I had cut and scored ALLLL of the pieces, everything according to the printed directions and finally got it assembled. It took hours. It’s an amazing advent ‘box’. Really cute. Then (you know…..later than earlier) I decided to reach out to the creator who, I found out, lives in The Netherlands. Maike. She had created a video tutorial (I found it when I was all done) which would have been so much easier/faster than the step by step directions I had — but I got it done bit by bit, learning quite a bit along the way. Not knowing exactly where I was going was daunting but I had faith in the outcome which was well warranted. There were moments that I doubted myself. When I can upload pictures I’ll share the beautiful finished project. Finding Maike’s project on the web and then having great email conversations with her later has just been awesome. This is another bonus to being a demonstrator with Stampin’ Up!
New Business…New Cases/Holders for Our Stamps
During the past year Stampin’ Up! has come out with some growth changes but the most recent change, which you might not have seen yet, is definitely the most important: new packaging for our stamp sets. For me this is a biggie! No more clear plastic cases that show an inserted printed image of the stamp set on the front and side of the case. Currently my stamps are stored on a bookshelf, alphabetically. I can easily see the stamp set name and the images within the case. As with all new things, this new presentation of a stamp set or dies comes as a total inconvenience for my current storage method, but……ask me again in six months. I know I’m going to love the more compact storage for my stamps AND dies. Below are the clear plastic folders, old (left) and new (right):

The current cases are 5-1/4″ x 7-1/2″ x 1/2″ (Just a Note). The new cases are 5-5/8″ x 9″ (Addressed to You) I’m not sure that I’ll add that larger lab made with my Dymo label maker, to the top right of each stamp set and dies folders but for now it’s a yes. Much easier for finding what I’m looking for. I think!
Readers, I am trying with zero success to get my photos uploaded. It is so terribly frustrating. So, for now I’m just going to share a few more words without images. I don’t do this as a “use-your-imagination” test. And I do it because it’s all I can do at this time. Hopefully I’ll get this problem solved sooner than later. I’m fearing it’s past time for a new computer. Ugh. Santa didn’t bring me one for Christmas! 🙂
My goal in the next day or two, in addition to getting my photos uploaded to this post, is to have my January 2026 monthly newsletter ready for publication. It’ll offer a few samples, ideas and tips. Also on my agenda is ‘putting Christmas away throughout our house’ and reorganizing parts of my stamping space……like finding more of the floor, etc! Post holiday joys! But of course my computer skills will be coming first! 🙂
Thank you so much for popping in today. Please leave a comment below if you’re looking for a specific project or technique and I’ll do my best to help you out.
