Disclaimer…….I’m posting this post (originally written in January!!!) today, February 26th). I needed to complete the cutting and scoring information and, obviously, I totally forgot about it! Time. Busy. Post holiday cleaning. A ton of excuses! So here’s the mid-January post, still minus the cutting/scoring instructions. I’ll get ’em done TODAY!
This past Saturday I had the pleasure of attending an online Creativate Winter Retreat. (via FaceBook) We watched, and stamped, if time permitted, five very talented and generous Stampin’ Up! demonstrators present hourly stamping projects. I was exhausted by the 6:45 p.m. final bell. The retreat had started at 8 a.m. Mountain Time. There will be another colossal retreat in the spring, March 27th. It’s open to Stampin’ Up! demonstrators and non-demonstrators alike. And you emerge, at the end of the day, with tips and ideas galore! And complete PDFs on how to make the demonstrated projects at home, after the retreat. You’re also exhausted but blissfully so.
I adapted one of the projects, a double z-fold card, into a birthday card for my now 14 year old granddaughter Nora.

Here’s the path I took in making Nora’s card:
The donkey is colored with the Smoky Gray Stampin’ Blends Combo and then attached to the Designer Series Paper with Dimensionals. The rose bud is colored in with a Cherry Cobbler Dark Blends marker and the stem with a Granny Apple Green Blends Marker.
The Double Z-Fold is created with strategic scoring and cutting. Not hard but not easy.
Nora is quite a spunky young lady and I had lots of messages I wanted to include on the card that I knew would make her smile. They did!
I’ll post the cutting/scoring details in a few days. (I forgot to complete this post in January and will reassemble my pieces, photographing the creative progress today. Shame on me!!!)
I think this card is the result of the strangest assortment of stamp sets that I’ve ever put into one card. What do you think?
(By the way, Nora Blythe, is my namesake. Perfect name for a spunky young lady.
And now, on the following post, you’ll see why it was imperative to make this post available before posting the ‘end of Sale-a-Bration’ post. Amazing how L-I-F-E just gets in the way sometimes!
