You just never know when Stampin’ Up! is going to touch hearts! I’ve been a.w.o.l., taking a 10 day Route 66 adventure with my husband Russ. We got at far east (from California) as Gallup, New Mexico and knew it was time to head homeward so we headed north. To Page, Arizona. And there we stayed in a lovely B&B and went on a boat adventure on Lake Powell to Rainbow Bridge on the Navajo Nation’s reservation.
On the boat I got to chatting with our First Mate Mary.
Long story short, my stampin’ studio came into one of our conversations. She said she had a friend who stamps and she thought it might be Stampin’ Up! So she sent her a text. Yes, ‘friend’ did do Stampin’ Up! Yes, ‘friend’ is a Stampin’ Up! demo. Yes, ‘friend’ knew me enough that she followed me on my blog!!!
Fast forward, we made a plan to meet, back on land, for cocktails and then dinner. And that’s when I met Patty Ellwanger from Page AZ.
And all it took was a conversation on beautiful, scenic Lake Powell with mention of Stampin’ Up! that two women who would otherwise never had connected made a great connection. And Mary, the non-artistic, non-stamper will be going to Patty’s next stampin’ get-together. In November she’ll be coming to California to visit my stampin’ studio, our Sanctuary home and Yosemite National Park.
Going to Lake Powell and Rainbow Bridge was amazing. And meeting/connecting with Mary and then meeting fellow Stampin’ Up! demonstrator Patty, in Page, Arizona, was the icing on the cake. BTW, the husbands all got along great as well.
Only you!!! Dad always said you never meet a stranger!! ❤️
It was all so natural and easy. And fun!
