As a Stampin’ Up! demonstrator who has achieved a certain level in Leadership qualifications (minimum amount of downline team members who have also received a certain level of promotions as well as a certain amount of annual sales) I was invited to attend Centre Stage on the night before the day-long On Stage event began the following day.
After driving (on Thursday, November 3rd) from Mi Wuk Village in the northern California mountains where I live, 9 hours to Kingman AZ for an overnight, and then 4 more hours on to Phoenix, my On Stage experience began with Friday afternoon rehearsals for my Saturday-late-afternoon Occasions 2017 Product Highlight and Sale-a-Bration presentation. Butterflies in the belly all afternoon!
While waiting for half an hour after rehearsals until Centre Stage began at 6 p.m., I started talking to another attendee, Judy. From the moment we started talking until we parted company later in the evening we came upon one thing after another that we had in common. When Judy mentioned caring for her ailing father in Indiana I asked where in Indiana. Crown Point. I told her I knew Crown Point because my father often worked there (for National Cash Register Company, now known as NCR) and that I was raised in Gary, no more than 20 miles away. We babbled on with excitement and vowed to keep in touch!
My family left Gary when I was 12 and headed for California, following aunts and uncles and specifically my maternal grandparents.
But a connection had been made and that is to me what makes Stampin’ Up! and it’s events so very special. Judy and I were like teenage girls with all of our excited talking and sharing of commonalities.
All that said, here is the swap card that I received from Judy:
I love everything about Judy’s clean and simple card:Â the colors, the use of different products and textures and primarily its simplicity.
Here are the products Judy used:
