2017 Pantone Color of the Year

I just love that Stampin’ Up!‘s rotating In Colors are so in trend!  The Pantone Color Institute predicts what hue will be popping up all over this year and check this 2017 Pantone Color of the Year in comparison to our 2017-2019 In Colors:

Can you say Lemon Lime Twist???  This is a color, for good or bad, that I’ve been wearing since the late ’60s.  I just love the shade of green that I’ve called lime green over the years.  And when I saw it in the new catalog as a part of the 2017-2019 In Color grouping an instant “WOOHOO” came out of my mouth.

About 4-5 years ago, the first year I touched up my spikey hair with one of Stampin’ Up!‘s waterbased classic stamp pads, I sported Lucky Limeade at our annual convention in Salt Lake City.  I’m searching for a photo and will add it to this post when I find one.  Here’s a look at the stamp pad:

I made these little tags for stampers at April’s Card Buffet and participants loved them.  Simple and cute.

There are two 2017-2019 In Colors shown: Lemon-Lime Twist and Tranquil Tide. The blue is Dapper Denim, a 2016-2018 In Color; these images show the front and back of one of the sheets of  the Eastern Palace Specialty Designer Series Papers.
Maybe I should be a spokesperson for the next two years.  While searching for the convention photo, which I couldn’t find, I did find these trendy lime photos.

Studies have found that the color green is linked to feelings of happiness and peace and can improve our attention span.  So, as you can see both I and Stampin’ Up! are very on trend with the 2017 Pantone Color of the Year, we’re happy and at peace and have improved attention spans.
