I’ve gone “back to basics” and one of my favorite sets from Stamping’ Up!’s annual catalog so I could make this Vertical Thank You card. To get the three separate colors on the single topiary stamp I used the Old Olive, Soft Suede and Rich Razzleberry Stampin’ Write Markers.

The major TIP for this #simplestamping card is the cutting of the card base. Rather than 8-1/2″ x 5-1/2″, cut the base to 7-3/4″ x 5-1/2″ and still score it at 4-1/4″. When you crease the fold, one side will be 3/4″ narrower than the other side. That ‘short/narrow’ side is the card front. Stamp your vertical greeting on the edge that is “hanging out”.
Using Stampin’ Markers, I colored the topiaries using Old Olive, the wood trunks using Soft Suede and the pot using Rich Razzleberry.
To add a pop of dimension, I placed one greenish Basic Adhesive Backed Sequin on each topiary segment.
And finally, I used Crumb Cake Classic Ink for stamping the entire monochromatic image on the envelope.
If you don’t need a Vertical Thank You card, consider using one of the other greetings from the stamp set: Just Because….For You….I Love You….Happy Birthday….Congrats. It really is a versatile set!
