Spring has arrived and so has Grace’s Garden and I promise you that today’s card is much easy and faster to create than yesterday’s. Except for the kitty, it has only one layer.

I usually list my products (above) in as much the order I use them as possible.
Stamp the gate, flowers, bird and greeting using Memento Black ink. Why do I use Memento Black ink? Because it is formulated to not run when using alcohol based markers. Therefore I use the Memento Black ink exclusively when I know (or even think) I’m going to be using my Stampin’ Blends Markers.
TIP: I can’t say this often enough: when you are using your Stampin’ Blends Markers use a very light touch. The color flows out easily and you’ll break the tips down if you press too hard. It’s just not necessary to press at all.
That said, color in your flowers, gate, grass and bird on your Whisper White 5-1/2″ x 4″ layer of card stock. Stamp the kitty, using Smoky Slate Classic Ink, on a scrap of Whisper White card stock. Color the kitty in using the Smoky Slate light and dark Blends and then use your die cutting machine and the kitty die to cut him (her) out.
Swipe some Wink of Stella over the bird. Attach the kitty using one or two Mini Dimensionals.
Using a Stamping Sponge that has been cut into sixths, sponge some Balmy Blue sky and some Old Olive grass onto your card front.
Attach the Whisper White stamped layer to your card front and you are done!
If you want, add a 5-1/2″ x 4″ piece of Whisper White card stock to the inside of your card, stamp an image of choice from the Grace’s Garden stamp set, and color in or not as you choose.
Again, make several of these cards and send them out to friends near or far who are sheltering in place during this current crisis we are all experiencing. A card in someone’s mailbox is certain to bring a smile. And remember…..wash your hands after you open one that you might receive!
Please please please ask if you have any questions regarding this or any card or project you’re working on. I’ll do my very best to guide you out of your dilemma or frustration. blythe@stampingwithblythe.com
