Today I am sending hugs-in-a-card to a friend in need of as many as she can gather up. My card has actually been c.a.s.e.d (copy and share everything) and I received it in a card swap from stamper Andrea Sharp. Everything about it is perfect for my friend and I’m sure it’ll bring a smile to her face.
I find this card to be so soothing and gentle and hope it warms my friend’s heart.
Ingredients:
Measurements:
- Basic White Thick card stock: 8-1/2″ x 5-1/2″, scored at 4-1/4″ plus scrap for greeting (approximately 3″ x 2″) and another scrap for foliage (approximately 4″ x 3″)
- Lost Lagoon card stock: 5-1/4″ x 4″
- Pretty Peacock card stock: 4-1/2″ x 3-1/4″
- Crumb Cake card stock: 4-3/8″ x 3-1/8″
- Vellum: 4″ x 1″
- Twine: approximately 12″
Putting it all Together:
- Precut all card stock pieces. Layer pieces as shown in image.*
- * Very lightly tap the top of the embossed Crumb Cake layer with the Whisper White Craft Pad before attaching it to the Pretty Peacock layer.
- Stamp, punch and die cut various leaves. Layer on top of Crumb Cake layer.
- Twist Twine above leaves and secure with Mini Glue Dots.
- Stamp Basic White greeting scrap with Crumb Cake classic ink; die cut using die of your choice.
- Attach greeting to card front with Dimensionals.
This is a fairly easy card and could definitely be adapted with many other greetings, die cuts and other colors of card stock. I’ll be sending it off in the mail tomorrow and I hope it warms my recipient’s heart.
