Sometimes it’s just plain fun to give a card that has a unexpected way of opening up–like this Pinwheel Card made with the Envelope Punch Board.
You’ll need an 8″ x 8″ piece of Designer Series Paper, or any paper that has a printed pattern on both sides. You’ll also need the Envelope Punch Board and the Simply Scored Scoring Tool. You could substitute with the scoring blade on your Stampin’ Trimmer.
Today’s pinwheel card is made using the Fresh Florals Designer Series Paper Stack.
Here are the quick and easy step by step instructions for making your Pinwheel Card:
— Double sided patterned paper – 8″x 8″ Score at 3.5″ using envelope punch board (no punching!)
—return to 3.5” mark for each side
— Using paper snips, cut out ‘v’ notch as shown in photo below on each side.
— Using Simply Scored Scoring Tool, score at 7/8″ on each top left section
— Belly band – 1.25″ x 10.5″
— Circles – 2″ & 1.75″ (punches or Layering Circles Framelits)
— Envelope – 8″x 8″ – Score 4″ on envelope punch board; proceed as normal
I swapped ten of these cards at OnStage 2017 in Salt Lake City last week and the instructions above are what I enclosed with each card.
