Penguin Place Mystery Stamping Card

It’s crazy time in my life right now but I did get to tackle the December 13th Monday Mystery Stamping via YouTube after dinner last night.  Usually I do FaceBook Live or Zoom with my sister for mystery stamping but that wasn’t the case last night.  I just squeezed it in before bedtime.

I always challenge myself to use Designer Series Paper, card stock colors and stamp sets that I haven’t used either at all or as much as I should have since purchasing them.  Today’s card was really a stretch for me since (1) you/I have no clue where the clues are going and (2) I hadn’t even opened the Designer Series Paper (DSP) so had no clue what I was going to choose.

I must say, I’m kind of tickled with my card:

It’s definitely not my normal type of card but…..why not!?  I think it’s whimsical, musical and fun!

As I’ve said in prior Mystery Stamping reveal posts, you never have much of a clue where your pieces of card stock and perhaps Designer Series Paper are going to take you.  You just have to interpret the instructions (verbal and written) for yourself.  It’s a great challenge.  The link to Dec. 13th’s mystery is here.

Although I often talk about Sharon Armstrong’s Monday Mystery Stamping, I would definitely still appreciate it if you supported me, as your demonstration and Stampin’ Up! store source.

Here are today’s supplies:

Paper Snips

$10.00

Penguin Place stamp set, 156410
The darkest tree is stamped with a ‘full load’ of Just Jade Classic Ink. Then I stamped it again to the right without reinking the image and finally stamped it once more, between the two previous images, again without reinking. I really like the results and that look.

I hope you’ve enjoyed today’s fun whimsical card and that you try one on your end.  Here are the basic measurements:

Colored Card Stock:  5-1/2″ x 8-1/2″, scored at 4-1/4″
Basic White Card Stock:  2 pcs, 4″ x 5-1/4″
DSP:  3 pcs., 1-1/4″ x 3-1/2″
DSP: different pattern: 1 pc., 1″ x 4″
Stamps, Ink Pads, Coloring Tools, Embellishments:  as needed (if needed)
Dies, Punches, Paper Snips:  if or as needed
Adhesive

Now, see if you can add those bits and pieces in the locations where I placed mine.  And then share your card in a comment below!

Above all, have fun.
