If you like the Big Shot and Thinlits as much as I do then you’ll really want to check out page 14 of the new Home for the Holidays 2015 SU! Holiday Catalog. In the bottom right corner is the new Precision Base Plate. It’s awesome. Simply awesome.
There’s been some chatter around about whether to use it on your Magnetic Platform (why???) or the Multipurpose Platform (why not!?). My experienced decision is to use it with the Multipurpose Platform hands down! Just lay it on top of Tab 2 of the Multipurpose Platform, add your card stock and Thinlit and run it through the Big Shot.
I used the Precision Base Plate for the first time a few days ago when prepping for my monthly Stampin’ for Adults at the Mi Wuk Library.
Isn’t this a bright and cheerful card? It’s pretty simple as well. You’ll need Daffodil Delight card stock and Classic Pad, Whisper White card stock, the Petite Petals punch, Butterflies Thinlits, Big Shot and Precision Base Plate (available September 1st – do you have the 2015 Holiday Catalog yet? Send me an email if you don’t.).
The ‘swath’ from the Work of Art stamp set was only inked up once and then stamped 3 times, one under the other. The smallest flower from the Beautiful Bunch stamp set is stamped 8-10 times using Daffodil Delight ink on Whisper White card stock. Then punch with the Petite Petal Punch and scatter randomly under the butterfly. Add a few Rhinestone Basic Jewels for a bit of bling.
TIP; Check out the greeting: hello sunshine is from the So You photopolymer stamp set which, sadly, is no longer available. The point of mentioning the greeting it is, that since it photopolymer, you can gently bend it into a curve if you want to. I really like the way it curves just the same as the ‘swath’ from the Work of Art stamped image. Try it, you’ll like it!
