I love participating in stamper Sharon Armstrong’s Monday Mystery Stamping challenges. (You can find them on FaceBook.) But–there are times when I honestly don’t get to them until a week or two after they’ve gone ‘live’. And for what it’s worth I don’t peek at other stamper’s submissions until after I’ve done mine. I knew I wanted to use the Mixed Media Florals Designer Series Paper (DSP) if there was any DSP mentioned in her instructions. As it was, I ended up just using the colors from the DSP but not the DSP itself. Go figure!

Here is the first clue, the supplies you’ll need:
- Colored Card stock (CS): 5-1/2″ x 4-1/4″
- Colored CS: 4 x 2-1/2″
- Basic White CS: scrap big enough for a large image stamp
- Basic White CS: (2) 4″‘ x 5-1/4″
- Stamps: A large image stamp and one-line greeting stamp will work best
- Ink Pads
- Coloring Tools (markers, Stampin’ Blends, Pastels, etc)
- Paper Trimmer (with score blade) or Simply Scored Tool
- Dies, Punches, Snips
- Adhesive – including Liquid and Dimensionals
- Embellishments
And then came the clues and creating. I’m going to let you go to Sharon’s Monday Mystery Stamping Facebook page and find her video to walk yourself through the adventure. (https://www.facebook.com/groups/txstampinsharonsmysterymondaystampers) She has a YouTube presentation also.
I will share my card though and how I got there.

I chose my colors from the DSP: Boho Blue, Daffodil Delight, Flirty Flamingo and Granny Apple Green……and added Crumb Cake which is not in the DSP. I chose the greeting from the Filled with Fun stamp set which is an Online Exclusive set. Not in any catalog. Only on line. I just love the sentiments alongside (well–above!) the flowers.
I stamped, colored (Stampin’ Blends) and then die cut the flower branch and attached it to my card front with Dimensionals. And the little lady bug is one of three that’s included in the Mixed Florals stamp set.
TIP: Although I inked my image thoroughly by holding the Memento Black pad over the image/block, when I stamped it I should have had a little foam pad under the Basic White card stock. You can see, by looking closely, that my middle leaves did not stamp as they should have. Moral to that issue: place a thin foam mat under card stock and a stamp that require a little extra help when stamping them!
See if you can figure out the rest of the ‘mystery’ construction of my card from the instructions given at the top of this post.
Thank you so much for popping in today. Please leave a comment below if you’re looking for a specific project or technique. And don’t forget to make a card and then make someone’s day by sending it to them.
