I knew this was not going to be a quick or easy task but I didn’t realize how committed I would get to it.  But—I have to have it all put back together, painting included, before leaving for Salt Lake City and Stampin’ Up!’s convention on the 19th.  Deadlines are “inspiration” for sure.  I’ve been working from around 6.30 a.m. till 6.30 p.m.  And it’s paying off.  You couldn’t tell by looking at these photos though!

TV stand removed from wall
The too large TV stand is removed from the wall and a simple shelf will replace it.
Simple shelf installed to hold TV
A simple 48″ shelf is installed using 100% repurposed items that had previous incarnations somewhere around the house.

Everything from inside the room has to go outside!
All contents from the room have to go out on the deck. And–we’ve be have intermittent mountain showers for the last 3 days. Usually they only threaten. This year they produced!
Elfa unit removed
The Elfa unit from under the window had each drawer purged. It’s out on the deck now. Also removed: from the right of that corner, the wire cubes that store 12″ x 12″ card stock and other STUFF.

Today I’m running off for about 8 hours to pick up the ‘perfect’ desk that my daughter found on Craig’s list.  It will go under that window and house my printer and paper work.  I can’t wait to see it in place.

Yet to do:  Remove any other pieces of storage units and then PAINT the room.  Color is secret yet because I’m not quite sure what it’s going to be.  The tables (piled high) in the center of the room will be removed as well and Russ is going to build me a new one, with storage cubes on the ends and in the center.  Hmmmm.  One week to go!

I hope you’re enjoying the ‘treasures’ I’ve found while emptying drawers.  I’ve unburied some ridiculous projects, memorabilia and junk!

Have a great day.  I’ll be back tomorrow with another progress report.

By the way, I’ve also added a few items to my Cyber Yard Sale.  Check the Other: scrapbook kits, stencils, etc. category, bottom of the list.
