Today has been declared Be Merry Kit Day in my home. By me. I haven’t had a lot of time to stamp in the last several weeks and finally my ‘time’ is pretty much mine. My volunteer’s mouth had put me in charge of our local Fire District’s annual Spaghetti Dinner for the last 7 years. This was year eight. So, I promised myself that as soon as everything was tidied up and put away I could declare it “TIME TO STAMP”!
I know I often purchase a seasonal kit from Stampin’ Up!’s various catalogs and, unfortunately, I also often don’t get them ready for sharing. Like completed! So today I made all twelve of the amazingly cute Be Merry Kit ornaments.
All you need is a bit of patience. And a hot glue gun and the Fine Tip Glue Pen. The instructions are clear and easy. Not fast but easy.
The word ‘merry’ is translated into French and German so I decided to make holiday gift ornaments for some very special friends and family in France and Germany.
The rosettes below will be going to Kiel and Lutherstadt-Eisleben in Germany later this fall:
These will be going to Houpperville, France:
And these will be staying in the U.S.:
I can see that I’m going to be purchasing another kit since I really want to share more of these ornaments.
Can you see what I haven’t added to them?! Yikes. I totally forgot the ribbon bows that go on the top. My ribbons needed to be smoothed out (like ironed!) before making them into bows and attaching them. That will happen soon.
To get your Be Merry Kit just click here. They’re really solid, sturdy and cute. Purchase several kits and have a crafting party with friends to assemble them. I know that I plan a special get-together to do just that.
