Making a mistake with your adhesive isn’t hard to do. I’ve done it more than once. Here’s what I did when putting my card layers together: I adhered my Fast Fuse adhesive on the wrong side of my Designer Series Paper!
Usually when I make one card that I’m happy with I’ll go ahead and make a second one. Here’s the card I made a few days ago with the Musical Season stamp set from the just released 2017 Holiday Catalog. If you’d like a hard copy of the new holiday catalog and don’t have a demonstrator to call your own, please send me an email, blythe@stampingwithblythe.com, and I’ll send one out to you a.s.a.p. Here’s the card I made to include in a gift basket I donated to our Fire Station for a fundraiser this weekend.
And here’s the finished gift basket…..
Now, when I was making the second card I “very carefully” adhered my Fast Fuse Adhesive to all four sides of the plaid image (the side I wanted to show) of the Christmas Around the World Designer Series Paper. I was left with two choices: toss it in the trash or let the other side of the Designer Paper show. It’s a totally different look!!
I definitely prefer the plaid but the nutcrackers aren’t all that bad. What would you have done? Trash or use?
I hope to be able to get back to ‘normal’ next week. It’s been distractingly busy for too long (road trip to my daughter’s new home in Idaho, personal vacation with hubby along Route 66 in California and Arizona and finally, being in charge of an annual Spaghetti Dinner fundraiser at our local fire departement) and I’ve missed my regular stamping and posting. And for the future, I’ll be much more attentive and try to avoid those adhesive mistakes!
