Birthdays are the best. It’s really good to just have one because it means you’re still breathing. And it’s just fun to have one and be receiving cards and greetings and, when possible, a few extra hugs or at least elbow bumps.
A fellow stamper and friend from Victoria BC, MiRan, sent me this year’s first birthday card using the perfectly reverently non-reverent Way to Goat stamp set.
Check out the various elements of this stamp set in my card:
- the Balmy Blue flower in the goat’s mouth
- the Smoky Slate tin cans
- the charming Smoky Slate goat herself, fussy cut (using good old fashioned scissors!) and attached to the label with Stampin’ Dimensionals
- the birthday greeting
And I love the image on the back of the envelope: #imbringingbirthdaysback . It was introduced by Stampin’ Up! employee Shannon West, several years ago. Send those birthday – or any other event/reason – cards, especially in these isolated days!
Inside my card:
I would like to challenge you to send out at least five cards every month in 2021. My goal will be to share with you the cards and little 3-D items I make each month for sending or handing to friends, relatives and those who serve me…..like in the post office, doctor’s office, behind the gas station counter, restaurants, those who bring groceries to my car or service something broken in my home. Just anyone who isn’t expecting anything. Surprise them. Make them smile. Let me/us know who you send a card to at the end of this month……or in February……or March, April, May and more……. Let’s make ’em smile. Let’s work at bringingbirthdaysback. Or just bringing a smile to someone’s face and heart for any or no reason.
Things to remember right now: It’s Sale-a-Bration time. For each $50 or $100 you spend on Stampin’ Up! products you’ll be able to select a FREE Sale-a-Bration item……stamp set or Designer Series Paper. Place your order through me either via email or directly in my online Stampin’ Up! store.
It’s also a great time to join the Stampin’ Up! family. Would you like to get a 20% discount on everything you order? Sale-a-Bration is the perfect time to join! During this time (January / February) you can choose your $125 Starter Kit for only $99. Plus you’ll get a free exclusive gift from the upcoming catalog (end of May!) — an assortment of six 6″ x 6″ stacks of Designer Series Paper (aka DSP).
Did you know that the majority of Stampin’ Up! demonstrators are not pursuing the business? (You certainly can pursue the business aspect but you can also just stamp to address your own habit and creativity need.) You can appreciate Stampin’ Up! products, like you do (I hope), and enjoy the 20% discount. The addition of the 6″ x 6″ DSP during Sale-a-Bration is an added incentive, giving the kit a $182.50 value. Not bad. I’d love for you to join My Country Loft team. (Once upon a time I lived in the mountains/country and had a loft (stampin’ studio) over our garage plus a sign from a gone-out-of-business My Country Loft crafty side room of a hardware store. I do believe in nostalgia and re-purposing.
Feel free to call or email me if you’d like to talk about joining the Stampin’ Up! family. I’ve been a demo for a crazy 24-3/4 years and have enjoyed every year of it, learning more and more and making so many friends both locally and abroad! Who knew when I joined in April 1996?
