(FUN) LESSON LEARNED WHEN DYING TWINE

Today’s card was coming along pretty well.  Until…………..  I wanted some Calypso Coral ribbon and realized I didn’t have any.  But!  I had Metalic Baker’s Twine which has a white base.  My brain said to dye the twine with the Calypso Coral Stampin’ Pad.  Mistake.  In hindsight I should have used the Calypso Coral Ink Refill.

The lines from where the ribbon touched the card stock cannot be hidden.  But……I figured I could share the mistake.  I’m definitely going to try again, this next time using Ink Refill (aka reinker) rather than the stamp pad, to color my ribbon.

It was my choice to go out of the box on my color combinations.  I like them together for something festive and fun.

I’m enjoying this challenge-to-self to use new Stampin’ Up! products I felt were inspiring enough to purchase.

Come back again tomorrow to see what I hope are some improvements!  I’ll be adding some bling as well.  I think!  We’ll see what develops.  Have a relaxing evening.
