BlkWhtDSPMMS

This card is actually the result of a “Mystery Stamping Challenge” I was taking part in. I love the way it turned out.

Supplies/Measurements

Stamp Set: Filled with Fun (163557, Online Exclusive)

  • Card Stock:
    • Granny Apple Green: 11″ x 4-1/4″, 4″ x 3-1/4″, 2-3/4″ x 2-3/4″, scrap for greeting background
  • Basic White: 4″ x 5-1/4″, scrap for greeting

Ink: Memento Black

Other:

  • Green Glue (Multipurpose Liquid Glue: 110755) I use this glue almost exclusively.
  • Dimensionals (104430)
  • Paper Snips Scissors (103579)
  • Paper Trimmer (152392)

Putting It All Together

  • Score the card base (11″ x 4-1/4″) at 5-1/2″ ; fold in half and burnish (rub firmly) the fold
  • Glue largest piece of DSP to the card front
  • Glue the next 2 pieces of DSP to the corresponding pieces of card stock.
  • Glue the largest layered card stock piece (4″ x 3-1/4″) all the way to the left side of the card front, about 1″ from the top of the card.
  • Attach the 2-3/4″ x 2-3/4″ layered card stock piece to the card front with Dimensionals about 1″ from the bottom
  • Stamp your greeting on the Basic White scrap using Memento Black ink.
    • Use Paper Snips or Paper Trimmer to cut it to size.
  • Create a mat with the Granny Apple Green card stock scrap and adhere the two layers together (with glue!).
  • Add the greeting layer to the card front as shown, overlapping the other layers. You’ll need to use Dimensionals at one end and adhesive at the other.
  • Add the Basic White 4″ x 5-1/4″ card stock layer to the inside of the card. Add an image using Memento Black ink if you want to.
    • I placed a thin piece of paper below this Basic White layer and stamped the “gift” image at the bottom. Coloring is totally optional and up to you.
