Library Stamping Class in 2016

Oh. My. Gosh! I was looking for a photo on my lap top and I came upon this one and just could not resist sharing it. It will also inspire me to get back to my regular posting habits I hope!

Sigh–I can’t remember the gal’s name on the left, but to her right are Roberta, Jeanne, Pat and Kathy. Thanks to all of these gals I’m able to share the fun and creative times we now have in the Avimor Community Center here in Boise Idaho.

This photo is from the Mi Wuk Village Library in May of 2016! I’d been conducting class there for several years by this time and didn’t stop till we moved to Boise in December of 2019. It’s wonderful to see the same basic products being used:

  • clear blocks
  • stamp pads
  • grid paper
  • lots of smiles
  • stamps cleaning pad and Stampin’ Mist
  • ‘green glue’
  • stamp sets
  • scissors
  • sample card in the same holder we now use in Boise

And the smiles! Yes we laughed and stamped and chatted a bit. There were usually 6-8 participants including our postmistress, Kathy, on the right. The post office was just behind the library.

And see the ‘pay here’ basket in the middle-ish of the table? I hadn’t graduated to my phone box tin yet!

If you look carefully you’ll see that we did make two cards each that day. One set of stamp sets is wood mounted and the other uses the clear blocks that we use almost exclusively now-a-days.

This room used to house a fire engine……….do you see the three silver-ish roll up doors in the upper right? Those were the days!!! When the alarm went off the fire fighter would come from his home to the “library” to hop into his rig and off to the call.

Fred and Ginger in our endless back yard. They were probably watching some deer wander through.
His Highness Fred started “guarding” my stamping place a long time ago. Lots of familiar supplies here too. This was my stamping space in Mi Wuk, above the garage. ‘Twas rather amazing and definitely a fun place to gather.

Thank you for letting me wander back a few years and share some of my stamping origins and stories. I will do my very best to get back to my regular posting habits! No excuses except over-busy.

I apologize for no signature or links but……..apparently a lot has changed in preparing a post in the last few months and I have no clue where to find what I’m looking for! So in the meantime, I’ll see you again soon with maybe some more clues in how to finish my post the way I used to. So frustrating. Back now to more tidying up in my over-busy stamping sanctuary.
