The secret about this card is the musician Conan Gray. That led me to the word ‘cone’ as a tease for the Ice Cream Swirl Birthday Card for my very-soon-to-be 16 year old grandchild. They’re going to be seeing Conan Gray perform in person this coming Sunday, October 13th, in Portland Oregon. And they’re hoping for some assistance in purchasing a sweatshirt at the event. Hence this ice cream ‘cone’ (Conen) card.
Each of the three (mint chocolate chip) ice cream cones hides a folded up green-back between its layers. Open the cone and woo-hoo, some $$. Open the next cone and woohoo, more $$. The same with number three cone.
Within each CONE (remember the name Conan Gray) is a paper bill. The three cones should enable said grandchild to make a nice souvenir purchase the the concert. I used a business sized envelope as the guide for the size of the card. Then I took a few more slim slices of card stock off so the finished card would fit in one of Stampin’ Up!’s retired Slimline Envelopes.
The paper bill is secured with a 1/4″ x 1-1/4″ (approximately) strip of card stock that’s glued to the ‘back cone’ with liquid adhesive or fast fuse on each 1/4″ end. Make it just enough to hold the fold bill securely.
It’s definitely a corny card but it was a fun way to deliver some cash without it being obvious. The ‘mint-chocolate-chip ice cream’ is also corny but………what the heck. Grandparents are supposed to be corning aren’t they?

Please ask if you’d like some more specific measurements. I pretty much winged it as I went along. The Designer Series Paper (DSP) was measured to be 1/8″ narrower on all four sides than the card front/base.
