Happy 100th Birthday to Someone Special

I received a request last week to create a Happy 100th Birthday card. And of course I said certainly!

Number of Years Happy 100th Birthday card

I’ve held on to a wonderful stamp set (and dies) since they came out in the 2016 Occasions catalog called Number of Years. It’s always been my go-to stamp set for special birthdays and anniversaries.

Most unfortunately, this morning I couldn’t put my hands on the dies so ……… I “had to” fussy cut the ‘1-0-0’ images. I think I did OK but it certainly wasn’t as easy as using a die and the Stampin’ Cut & Emboss Machine!

Number of Years Happy 100th Birthday card - inside card

I “stamped off” each stamp for the image inside the card so there would be a softer look and not be too bright and bold.

TIPS & MEASUREMENTS for Prepping this Card

  • Card Base: Basic White THICK card stock: 8-1/2″ x 5-1/2″, scored at 4-1/4″
  • Next Layer: Berry Burst: 5-3/8″ x 4-1/8″
  • Next layer: Basic White card stock: 5-1/8″ x 3-7/8″
  • “100”: Bubble Bath card stock scraps
  • “th”: Basic White card stock scrap for ‘th’ and the little ‘flag’ for enclosing the TH

You can morph this card into an anniversary card or, for fun, a 30th Birthday celebration [again]. And my intent is not to tease you with a retired stamp set that isn’t available but rather to show you a fun and simple layout that you can duplicate with other flowers and numbers, albeit not numbers that are this large.

Thank you so much for popping in today. Please leave a comment below if you’re looking for a specific project or technique. And don’t forget to make a card and then make someone’s day by sending it to them.
