Another Curvy Christmas Card

I received another lovely Curvy Christmas card the other day and had to share it.  Clean.  Simple.  Elegant.

Curvy Christmas + Curvy Dies

My sister Janet used the Curvy Christmas stamp set that will only be available for a few more days.  Until January 4th to be exact.  The Curvy Dies will be available as a single item on January 5th.

The plaid Designer Series Paper is left over from last year’s holiday mini catalog so is, unfortunately, no long available.  But any print could be substituted.  Other supplies used:

The Quite Curvy Bundle, shown to the left of the Shaded Spruce card stock, is available as a preview-bundle-only through January 4th.  After the 4th the Curvy Dies (154319) will be available for ordering via the new January-June 2021 Mini Catalog.   The Curvy Christmas stamp set portion of the bundle will no longer be available.  We can ‘talk’ next week about that.

Curvy Christmas Card How-to Details:

  • Card Front:  Shaded Spruce card stock:  8-1/2″ x 5-1/2″, scored at 4-1/4″ and folded in half
  • Whisper White layer:  4″ x 5″
    • Lay appropriate curvy die, so the cutting edge of the die is face down toward the bottom of the card stock
    • After plaid layer is attached to card front (that’s in the step below) attach the curvy die cut piece to the card front using Stampin’ Seal adhesive.
  • Plaid layer:  2″ x 5″
    • Attach to Shaded Spruce card front as shown
  • Trees:  use a scrap of Whisper White card stock and Shaded Spruce Classic Ink to stamp the trees group of trees.
    • Using the Stampin’ Cut & Die Machine and the appropriate Pine Woods die, die cut the trees
    • Attach to card front with Dimensionals
  • Shaded Spruce Classic Ink:  Stamp with greeting of your choice, gently shaping in on your Clear Block I, to follow the curvature of the Whisper White layer.
  • For writing convenience, attach a 4″ x 5-1/4″ piece of Whisper White card stock inside the card for stamping your greeting and/or writing your message.
  • If you’re so inclined, stamp a tree or trees, using the Shaded Spruce Classic Ink, in the lower left corner or back flap of your envelope.  My motto is no naked envelopes!

Now that it is 2021, I wish you a safe and wonderful 2021.  Hopefully it’ll be much less “interesting” than 2020.
