Cow’s It Going?

Cow’s it going for you this week?  Are you getting a bit frustrated with sheltering in place?  Honestly, I’m not because I have to so much to do (like  going through moving boxes.)  Will that ever end???  I’m thinking not.

Anyway…..this morning I had a little fun preparing a packet for mailing to my grandson in California.  Somewhere I came upon a little Star Wars (?) Lego skeleton that I know belongs to Zion.  He’a a Lego King!

Lego Skeleton

Zion, 11 years old, like kids around the world, has been house-bound during this corona-virus quarantine.  The kid loves legos and rarely leaves home without them.  This little piece got left at our home in Mi Wuk Village, California sometime last year.  When we were preparing to move it popped out from under a couch cushion and I set it aside “somewhere safe”.  Yesterday it popped out from a moving box and I immediately brought it into my stamping space so I could return it to it’s rightful home.  San Jose, California.  This morning I let my ‘fun and silly’ come out while packaging ‘skeleton trooper’.  And yes, I will have to venture out to our local post office.  With protective mask.

My neighbor loaned me her motorcycle riding protective covering for wearing out in public–grocery store, post office…..and that’s about it.

To keep in the vein of fun, here’s Zion’s envelope, which is, of course, a recycled Stampin’ Up! padded envelope.  I could not color the cow in ‘normal’ colors because I wanted to tickle Zion’s sense of humor.  Can YOU name all the Stampin’ Blends markers I used??

Stampin’ Blends + Wink of Stella:

My stamp set is the ever-so-charming Over the Moon cling mount stamp set.  I used Tuxedo Black Memento Ink, my favorite.  The Stampin’ Blends work perfectly with Memento Ink – no bleeding or pulling of the black ink into the bright colors.

This Memento ink is currently unorderable but will hopefully become available on April 27th when it’s due back into Stampin’ Up!’s warehouse.

Don’t you think Zion will enjoy getting his very own piece of mail in a few days?  I sure hope so.  I’m sure he won’t be expecting a Lego skeleton trooper and since I am so far away from him now (13 hour drive) I want to keep myself in his face.  🙂
