Congrats Engagement Card

Today’s CONGRATS engagement card was made by one of “my” regular library stampers, Jeanne.  I was ‘wowed’ when she ordered the Layering Alphabet Edgelits and then even more wowed when I saw her card.

I’ll be the first to admit that this set of edgelits looks very intimidating…..almost like something you’d see carved onto a stone tablet thousands of years ago.  Let’s together take a moment to check out Tanner’s video that explains the set.

Now, here’s Jeanne’s engagement card. (I have to say, she has inspired me to tried this technique to make a card for my recently engagement granddaughter. But not today!)

Congrats Engagement Card

I can’t really break this card down yet but will soon.  I’m going to attempt to re-create the Get Well Card I saw in the video as well as make some special birthday cards for my younger grandchildren.

I have figured out that Jeanne used the Flourish Thinlits for her accent bouquet on the left of her card.  She combines either Smoky Slate or Silver Foil or perhaps even Galvanized Metallic Paper for the flowers and I’m not sure about the card stock for the leaves because it looks to be glittery.  I’ll be asking for those details.  Some of her components could well be OP’s, (Other People’s or Other Company’s products) such as the lovely green jewel accents.

Regardless of where all of the supplies came from, this is a very inspiring card and, from viewing the video, I see that it’s not really all that complicated.  You just need to be meticulous and attentive while making it.  If I were newly engaged I’d be delighted to receive a Congrats engagement card like this one.  I think the inclination would be to ask the send where she got it rather than how’d you make it!
