I couldn’t even think about putting the Magical Mermaid stamp set away without first creating a Magical Mermaid Birthday card.
I went through the same steps as for making yesterday’s mermaid card and isn’t it amazing how different each background can look.
I changed up a few things for this Magical Mermaid birthday card:
- Sand is Soft Suede rather than Crumb Cake
- Seaweed stamped with Tranquil Tide
- Three seaweeds rather than two
- Mermaid is blonder, using Crushed Curry as the base and then bits of Calypso Coral, Crumb Cake and Cherry Cobbler in her hair–all with the Aqua Painter
- After spritzing water on a scrap of Shimmery White card stock I added some Tempting Turquoise, Bermuda Bay and Pear Pizzazz color from the lids of the stamp pads–using the Aqua Painter
- After Shimmer White card stock dried I stamped the greeting with Soft Suede Classic Ink, covered with Clear Embossing Powder and heat set with my Heat Tool.
- Used Layering Oval and Big Shot to die cut the greeting which was added to card front with Dimensionals
- Added three Glitter Enamel Dots for a bit of pizzazz
- Added Tranquil Tide shading to mermaid’s scales and tail
