It’s not that I overly love to ‘fussy color’ a card but…..I am just loving the new Mediterranean Moments stamp set and coloring the images with the new Watercolor Pencils. The scenes just pop into life!
I’ll be the first to admit that I should definitely have used my Stamp-a-ma-jig when placing my greeting on this card. Yikes. What’s done is done at this point.
Again, I used Stampin’ Up!‘s new Watercolor Pencils and an Aqua Painter to color the image. Press harder or repeatedly with your Watercolor Pencil in the places where you want your color to be darker or more intense. Then go over it lightly with your Aqua Painter until you achieve the blend of colors you want. I am definitely not a wiz-bang when it comes to coloring and shading and I am happy with the looks I’m able to achieve.

- The Cajun Craze card front layer is 8-1/2″ x 5-1/2″, scored at 4-1/4″ and folded.
- Early Espresso layer: 5-1/4″ x 4″
- Whisper White layer: 5″ x 3-3/4″
This is a very simple card — except for the coloring and that’s really just grown-up kid’s play — so I encourage you to try it. I think you’ll like it.
