The reason I ask this question is that the 2015-2016 Annual Catalog will be retired at the end of May. May 31, 2016. Do you have any idea how quickly time can just fly by when you’re having so much fun?
There is one particular stamp set that keeps popping into my consciousness, In This Together, telling me I haven’t used it in the two years it’s lived in my studio. In a dark cupboard. My excuse: I’ve just been waiting for the perfect occasion. P-e-r-f-e-c-t.
And now it’s time to show myself and you that I will make a few fun cards with this In This Together stamp set.
I’m thinking I’m going to take the cocktail-holding-young-lady and make her into an invitation for our annual Christmas Card weekend in early December. Yes, December! The invitation usually goes by email but this year, in honor of #imbringingbirthdaysback, I’m going to plan wa-a-ay ahead and mail the invites.
You’re wondering why the cocktail? In all honesty, the weekend starts out with the signature cocktail of the year late Friday afternoon. Then we stamp the rest of the weekend while my sweet husband takes charge of the kitchen duties.
Since we don’t have a current Holiday Designer Series Paper I’m using the Season of Cheer paper from the Holiday 2015 Catalog. I’ve pulled my coordinating colors from the back of the Designer Series Paper package: Cherry Cobbler, Mossy Meadow and Whisper White.
Inside the card will be the details for the weekend events prefaced by *Save the Date*.
Mission accomplished. I have used the In This Together stamp set. I still think it’s really cute and sassy. What did I learn? That this is a harder set to use than I anticipated. It’s cuteness and sassy-ness require a lot of detail work. I also learned that I have no clue where my watercolor paper is stored in my studio post-renovation. It would have worked much better than the Whisper White card stock.

Very cute!!! Would be good for Beth’s / Allison’s birthday, too! 😋
