BOTANICALS BLOOMS BIRTHDAY CARD

The very first stamp set (and framelits) I got to play with from the 2016 Occasions catalog was the Botanical Blooms and Botanical Builder Framelits Dies when I was at Stampin’ Up!’s On Stage event in Brussels, Belgium in November.   They’re luscious, just like the tropical foliage they flaunt.  The photo in the Occasions catalog says a lot:

I feel like Miss Nancy from Romper Room (if you don’t remember her just ask me!) when she looks through her magic looking glass and says “I can see……..flower die cuts and a Designer Series Paper box and washi tape and a beautiful simple card and a gift bag with an awesome tag. I wish someone would send just one of those items to me!”

Well, I used some of those items plus the Sale-a-bration Botanical Gardens Designer Vellum Pack (which is FREE with a $50 SU! product purchase).

I think these close up photos are better than a thousand (or 200) words.

There are detail images for some of die cut pieces.

Close up of the flowers and leaves as they are layered. Just place them ‘here and there’ so they look natural.   It’s hard to see but I did use Wink of Stella on the Soft Suede flower centers.

The Builder Framelits are so much fun and so intricate–like that fern type leaf in the photo above.

I stamped the greeting on a 1-1/4″ x 3″ piece of Whisper White card stock, cut the banner points, added a bit of Fast Fuse to the uncut end and tucked it under the flowers/leaves.  Then I put a little more Fast Fuse at the end of the banner to secure it to the card front.

I almost forgot to say that the first layer is a piece of the Botanical Gardens Designer Series Paper trimmed to the size of the folded card front, 5-1/2″ x 4-1/4″, attached to the card front with Fast Fuse adhesive.  That layer will not peel off!
