Thank You Card with Autumn Theme - Blythe Klipple, Stamping With Blythe

After a busy summer I was finally able to share a Thank You card with my local stampers at our monthly Stampin’ at the Library for Adults. We’ve met on the third Thursday of every month since February 2004. Except for a few odd months that just didn’t work out.

I love the simplicity of this card.

8-1/2” x 5-1/2”, scored at 4-1/4” and folded — It’s easy to swap out one greeting (thank you) for another (happy birthday) to get more versatility from a card layout.

I used scraps of the retired Botanical Gardens Designer Series Paper for die cutting the solid leaf using the Seasonal Layers Thinlits Dies. I thought the colors of this paper would be perfect as autumn colors under the skeleton die cut leaf from the same thinlits set.

It’s always a happy moment for me when “my stampers” go off with their own creativity to make the card into their own.

Class card 1 — Cathy’s card, before adding the Cajun Craze leaf outline.

Class card 1b — Cathy, who loves all things Hawaiian, just couldn’t minimize the piece of retired Botanical Gardens Designer Series Paper. I thought it made a great autumn colored leaf. Laying the die cut leaf outline image looks just perfect on her card.

As you can see, I’ve used several retired products for creating this card. They still work just fine and the colors were exactly what I needed. The Botanical Gardens Designer Series Paper, Crushed Curry Baker’s Twine and Lovely Amazing You stamp set are all retired.

Measurements for the different layers:

Pumpkin Pie card base: 8-1/2″ x 11″, scored at 4-1/4″ and folded on the score line
Whisper White: 5-1/4″ x 4″ (run through the Big Shot using the Pinewood Planks Dynamic Textured Embossing Folder
Crushed Curry: 1-3/4″ x 3-1/2″
Cajun Craze: 2-3/4″ square and 2″ square scrap
Botanical Blossoms Designer Series Paper: 2″ square scrap
