Stitched Shapes Name Tags

I went to a surprise wedding shower for one of my lovely customers last Saturday–a place where I wasn’t expecting to see some Stitched Shapes name tags.  She, and several other of the attendees, are caregivers for a sweet elderly woman who has dementia/alzheimers.  Rather than being ‘on shift’ as she was expecting, she was the main attraction of the late afternoon gathering.

During the course of the afternoon, when I mentioned having trouble keeping a few of the gals hooked up with their proper names, the name tags that Elizabeth had made for the caregivers became the focus of conversation.  They are just so cute.  And simple.

She hand stamped the Whisper White card stock with a retired set whose name I can’t remember right now!  (I’ll send a sheet of Stampin’ Dimensionals to the first person who rings my bell with the name of that stamp set.)  I’m thinking that after stamping the card stock she added each person’s name.  Then she cut the name tags out using the Stitched Shapes Framelits Dies and the Big Shot.  The last thing she did was to cover the name tags with a sticky laminate and run them through the Big Shot again with a larger oval Stitched Framelit.

These name tags are pretty quick and easy and darned cute.  And I’m sure they help make the patient smile when she looks at them to remember to whom she’s talking.  I had never even thought about Stitched Shapes for name tags but I sure will for the future.
