I’m lucky enough to still be on my trip, this week in Altenholz, Germany. Altenholz is just north of Kiel which is just north of Hamburg, about a 7 hour train ride from Brussels. I’ve been here several times before over the years since Stephan joined our family as an exchange student in 1989. We ‘picked him up’ in Kauai, Hawaii (a family vacation) and didn’t let him go for 13 months when his parents joined us for another month. To say we bonded is an understatement.
