Well ma’am or sir, here’s a selection of products that I use almost every time I’m stamping a card or two. I’ll tell you a bit about each one along the way.
Basic White 8-1/2″ x 11″ Thick card stock: The perfect card base is the Basic White Thick card stock. It’s high quality, acid-free, and lignin-free. 24 sheets/pack. 159229, $8.25/24 sheets. Perfect for card bases.
Basic White 8-1/2 x 11″ card stock: High quality card stock for a crisp and clean stamped image. 159276, $9.75/40 sheets.
Paper Trimmer: 159322, $25. Cuts and scores! It’s durable and portable and has an extra-wide 7-3/4″ cutting base and extendable 17″ ruler to accommodate larger paper projects. It comes with 1 paper cutting blade and 1 paper scoring blade.
Memento Black ink: This is your basic all-purpose black ink pad. Great, crisp coverage. Won’t bleed when used with Stampin’ Blends alcohol markers. 132708, $6
Stampin’ Cut & Emboss Machine: 2 sizes: Standard (149653, $120) and Mini (150653, $60) Makes precise cuts and detailed embossed images every time. Use with dies and embossing folders to easily create accents and elements for cards, scrapbook pages, party invitations, classroom projects, and more.
STANDARD: This machine has a wide 6″ platform for larger dies and full-size embossing folders. Works with all Stampin’ Up! dies and embossing folders. Includes 1 Base Plate, 1 Die Plate, 2 Cutting Plates, and 1 Specialty Plate.
MINI: This machine has a compact footprint for easy storage and travel. The 3-1/2″ platform works with many of Stampin’ Up!’s smaller dies and embossing folders. Includes 1 Mini Base Plate, 2 Mini Cutting Plates, 1 Mini Embossing Plate, and 1 Mini 3D Embossing Plate
Multipurpose Liquid Glue, aka ‘green glue’: You can use this glue for almost everything! Securely adheres small embellishments. Includes narrow tip and broad tip. Strong bond; dries clear. 0.9 oz. Acid-free. It also allows you a bit of ‘wiggle room’ after adhering a two layers together. Ideal for card stock and paper, embellishments, glitter, 3D objects and accents, and detailed die cuts. 110755, $4
Dimensionals: Every card can use the POP of a little dimension! These double-sided adhesive foam dots fill the bill. Great for heavier embellishments as well. Instant bond. Acid-free. 104430, $4/300 pieces, 3/8″
White Envelopes: 159236, $7.50/40 envelopes. These bright envelopes provide the perfect finishing touch for your cards. Fits standard 5-1/2″ x 4-1/4″ cards. Decorate your envelopes to coordinate with your cards! (No ‘naked’ envelopes!)
Stampin’ Scrub & Mist: Scrub: 126200, $18; Mist: 153648, $11 (8 oz). Washable, plush, black fiber scrub pads in a solid black plastic holder. To clean the pads, remove from case and run under warm water until it runs clean. I use a bit of dish washing liquid soap and ‘scrub’ with my nails to release ink quickly and efficiently. Spray with Stampin’ Mist stamp cleaner. Stampin’ Mist is lightly scented which I find to be very pleasant.
OR Simple Shammy: 147042, $8 You really need to clean your stamps after every use. This reusable stamp cleaning ‘cloth’ makes stamp cleaning effortless. Just soak with water and gently squeeze out the excess, wipe/twist/turn stamps on the shammy. It easily cleans ink from narrow grooves. No lint, no chemicals—just clean! However, they do get dirty looking after use–that doesn’t diminish their cleaning properties in any way.
Paper Snips: 103579, $10. Perfect Paper Snipping Precision! Beware their sharp blades and points. Paper Snips are a staple tool for expert cutting even in small areas. The precision-ground stainless steel tips cut cleanly all the way to the end of the blades. 2-1/2″. Includes a safety cover for the blades. These are awesome!
Twine Pack: 155475, $11. The Baker’s Twine Essentials Pack, including 5 colors, is a quick and easy way to add a touch of dimension to your cards. Perfect for tags, trimming, and tying. Five spools. Crumb Cake and white, 10 yards each; black, Gray Granite, and Very Vanilla, 5 yards each.
Stamparatus: 146276, $49. Created by stampers for stampers. Perfect way to guarantee perfect placement every time, multiple times! You can make multiples cards with ease. If you want a darker impression (or to fill in a “missed spot”), apply more ink and re-stamp immediately —no need to start all over. It’s perfect for creating 2-step, 3-step, and 4-step stamped images using reversible plates.
