Tuesday Tip Time: No More Wondering What Die is Missing or IF a Die is Missing

When I get a new set of dies I do three things as immediately as possible:

  • I make a photocopy of the set of dies – and I place this copy on the back side of the die folder so I can see what’s inside without opening the folder. This saves time when looking for a certain image or shape for a greeting.
  • I outline each die with a dark line on the thick paper it’s attached to inside the die folder.
  • I write the name of the dies and coordinating stamp set (if there is one), the order number, catalog and the price.

Taking these simple steps will help you when, several weeks, months or even years out, you wonder about the details of the dies.

Garden Meadow Dies plus printer paper copy of dies–my printer was misbehaving, hence the “stripes” of non-printed areas. I have a new printer now. The copy of the dies goes on the back side of the dies envelope/folder.

I’d love to know your reaction to this tip. Do you do something similar? Will you try something similar? Share your storage ideas with us.

If all goes as planned, I’ll have a TIP for you EVERY TUESDAY from today forward.

Thank you so much for popping in today. Please leave a comment below if you’re looking for a specific project or technique. And don’t forget to make a card and then make someone’s day by sending it to them.
