When I get a new set of dies I do three things as immediately as possible:
- I make a photocopy of the set of dies – and I place this copy on the back side of the die folder so I can see what’s inside without opening the folder. This saves time when looking for a certain image or shape for a greeting.
- I outline each die with a dark line on the thick paper it’s attached to inside the die folder.
- I write the name of the dies and coordinating stamp set (if there is one), the order number, catalog and the price.
Taking these simple steps will help you when, several weeks, months or even years out, you wonder about the details of the dies.
