My Favorite “New” Product in the Catalog

Yes, I am way behind on my posting. I started this post in MAY! Life became crazy. Blogging became confusing and a challenge. I brought a few other elements into my life to add even more busy-ness and chaos. And………finally here is my post of my favorite new products in the new SU! 23-24 Annual Catalog that remains true today. I love these new markers!

Refreshed / Updated Stampin’ Write Markers

Much to my joyful surprise Stampin’ Up! heard (or observed in general) and acted upon one of my greatest frustrations of the past bunch of years. Our Stampin’ Markers! So, what’s my favorite new product in the catalog? It’s definitely the refreshed markers. Multi-taskers for sure.

I love to coordinate my envelopes and inside message color with the theme of the card I’m sending. I’d say that the fine tip of 65-70% of my existing/old markers would only ‘write’ one or two words before becoming nearly invisible. These new markers!!! Wow! They’re quite improved. They’re ‘beefier’ and stronger than the retired markers. The post office will have no problem reading my addresses now.

I’ve been a demonstrator for over 27 years and have always enjoyed using our Stampin’ Write Markers but……..the fine tip on many of my markers would dry up in what I considered before their time. I’ve put messages in Stampin’ Up!’s suggestion box, for at least four years, that they be replaced OR that we be able to purchase just one marker (the one that needs to be replaced) rather than an entire set of ten when only one particular marker runs out of ‘gas’. I even tried adding re-inker to the marker after carefully pulling out the tip. Messy and ineffective.

Most gratefully and to my complete surprise, brand new markers were introduced in this new 2023-2024 Annual Catalog. You can bet I purchased new ones right away. They’re sold either as a Collection of all 40 markers or Assortments of 10 markers each, according to their color groups: Brights, Neutral, Regals and Subtles, and InColor collections of 5 markers each.

New Core Colors Stampin’ Write Markers

Explanation for the Core Colors: Periodically–like every 5-6-7- years–Stampin’ Up! refreshes their color range, removing ‘tired’ colors and replacing them with either totally new colors or colors that had been retired previously. Those returning colors are usually from retired In-Colors that are only around for two years. Returning colors in this group below are Lemon Lime Twist, Berry Burst, Misty Moonlight (such a beautiful shade of blue), Pretty Peacock, Lost Lagoon and Blueberry Bushel. The remaining are totally new to us! Those would be Pecan Pie, Lemon Lolly (perfect pale yellow), Bubble Bath (lovely soft pink) and two more that I’m overlooking!!!

And now you’ve seen the full array of one of my favorite NEW products in the new Stampin’ Up! Annual Catalog. They’re great for coloring in images, coloring parts of a stamp in this color or that and then stamping the image on your card stock (huff it first), and for writing names and addresses and personal greetings for your lovely hand-stamped cards. I love the opportunity for so much coordination!

Just a little reminder: ALL OF THESE COLORS are available in Classic Stampin’ Pads and Reinkers, Card Stock, some ‘bling’, some ribbon, Stampin’ Blends and they show up in the various Designer Series Papers. This great coordination makes for great cards and other projects! Check them out in my Stampin’ Up! store.
