Can I offer you a slice of last-day-of-summer watermelon? Yes, it’s left over from yesterday!
This yummy, crisp and cool slice of watermelon card was made by my super stampin’ friend, Janet Holmes from Texas. She’s a fellow member of Sudsol, a business only, Stampin’ Up! demonstrators only email list. It’s such a helpful gathering of stampers and I’ve met the neatest, most talented and fun gals there.
It looks like someone already snitched a bite out of this piece of watermelon. The nerve! Before I even got to share it! Doesn’t it just look good enough to eat? And isn’t it amazing what you can do with papers and tools?
Strangely enough, the base color for this card is called Watermelon Wonder, one of the 2015-2017 In Colors. Other supplies used: Whisper White and Basic Black card stocks, the new In Color Designer Series Papers, and the oh-so-fun Color Me Irresistible Speciality Designer Series Paper. There are six colored sheets (2015-2017 In Colors) of this paper that have an embossed look and also six white sheets that you can color as you choose. The added color will also making the embossing POP. You can use Sponge Daubers, Stamping Sponges, a Brayer, an Aqua Painter, stamp pads or even a Stampin’ Spritzer.
Tools used were the 2-1/2″ Circle and 7/8″ Scallop circle Punches and the Tree Builder Punch. Stamp set: Six-Sided Sampler. The Six-Sided Sampler comes in both Wood Mount and Clear Mount.
I hope, Sweet Friend, that you’ve enjoyed today’s watermelon.
