We’ve been celebrating my husband’s 70th birthday this weekend in San Francisco CA. What a treat. Our little boutique hotel is full of Europeans who come thousands of miles to enjoy this amazingly diverse, yet compact, city.
I hosted a birthday dinner at an old hotel/restaurant on Friday night for a few of Russ’s friends and relatives. I also requested ‘no gifts’ but you know how that goes! 🙂 This is what my sister and brother-in-law gave him—they were in San Francisco early enough in the afternoon to do a little shopping on Pier 39.
Of course he identified with that sentiment!
But when he opened the card (after the gift) he ooohed and ahhhhed over it, loving everything about it. He said it was one of the best Stampin’ Up! cards he’d seen or received! Masculinely bold!
And inside (it’s ok for you to read the handwritten message):
I’ll be back shortly with the supplies used. Time to get some breakfast before the doors close!
9.54 a.m. update: You’re going to have to wait until I get home to my stampin’ supplies. It’s amazing what can’t be found on your laptop in a hotel room! What’s the Designer Series Paper name??? It’ll be tonight before we arrive home. Bus > BART > our car > one stop > 2 hour drive home. We love being auto-less in San Francisco!!!
