I knew I wanted to attempt a Z-Fold card for my son’s birthday card this coming week. I have to say it was easy-peasy! I’ll be making more of these for sure because this Z-Fold is a definite wow.
Measurements are
- card base: 11″ x 4-1/4″, scored at 5-1/2″ and 2-3/4″
- “z” layer: 1″ x 11″, scored at 5-1/2″ and 2-3/4″
- Designer Series Paper Layers are 1/16″ less on all sides OR 1/8″ less on top and on sides

I used the retired Going Places stamp set and the coordinating Going Places Designer Paper Stack. I’m sorry that they are retired items but I love the colors and the theme of the the stamp set and the paper. I can guarantee you that my son won’t mind one little bit that the products are retired.
What’s so much fun about this card is that the sky’s the limit. Choose a stamp set first and then a coordinating Designer Series Paper (Stack) or choose a Designer Series Paper (or DSP Stack) and then choose a coordinating stamp set to go with it. You can use numbers/letters as well. I’ll be creating a late high school graduation card for my nephew later this week use numbers and letters on another z-fold card so check back around Thursday or Friday. It’s going to be “one of those weeks” so I’m not sure when I’ll get it done.
Be sure to check out Blythe’s Buffet, right box just below the banner at the top of this page. Registration deadline is June 22nd. It’s going to be a fun event and I’d love to see you there if you’re in the area. Long distance? I can send you the same totally prepared card packets. I just am not allowed to stamp any images for you per Stampin’ Up!’s rules. You can see all the details when you click on that box.
