Calming Camellia and Sale-a-Bration 2022 ends on Monday — That’s Tomorrow!

And with the end of January/February Sale-a-Bration 2022 comes the end of the availability of this lovely Calming Camellia cling stamp set.  It took me awhile to realize just how gorgeous this set is.  I created these four cards yesterday.

Calming Camellia, Sale-a-Bration Spring '22

I wanted to experiment with several things…..

  • the different patterns of the Designer Series Paper
  • presenting the image monochromaticallly
  • presenting the image colored with Watercolor Pencils and Water Painter
  • presenting the image colored with Stampin’ Blends

The black/white Designer Series Papers are from the retired (sorry) Beautifully Penned package. I really like the monochromatic presentation of the flower:

Black/white images

But then I wanted to see the flower colored in.  First I used water color pencils and Water Painter to enrich the image on the left and then Stampin’ Blends Markers on the right.  They’re amazingly similar.

I also used the Stamparatus to get a strong, clear image of the flower.  If, perchance, the image wasn’t fully stamped on my first attempt, I could re-ink the image and stamp it again exactly where I stamped it the first time.  I highly recommend using this tool!

Best Tool to have on hand!!!

I must honestly say that I often forget to use my Stamparatus and WHY is my question to self.  Once I positioned the cling stamp on the clear plastic plate I was able to stamp all four Basic White card stock layers with the exact same intensity in the exact same position on the layer.  I promise a review of this tool soon.
