Creating an irresistible monochromatic Irresistible Blooms Card is quick, easy and fun! Part of the monochromatic secret is to use the inked up image when it’s freshly loaded with ink and then again after you’ve stamped your image without re-inking and then perhaps stamping even one more time without re-inking. The result is rather stunning.
Product ListTIPS & MEASUREMENTS for Prepping this Card
- Lost Lagoon Card Base: 8-1/2″ x 5-1/2″, scored at 4-1/4″
- Basic White Layer: (2 pc): 5-1/4″ x 4″ (one for outside, one for inside) and 2″ x 1-1/2″ scrap for greeting
- Lost Lagoon additional pieces: 2-1/4″ x 1-1/2″ (greeting) and 5-1/4″ x 1/2″ strip (card front)
- Designer Series Paper (DSP) Layer: 5-1/4″ x 1-1/2″
Assembly
- Using Lost Lagoon Classic Ink stamp the upper portion of one of the Basic White Layers. Do not re-ink between stampings. This will give you several tones of the same color.
- With a thin strip of adhesive, layer the DSP over the 1/2″ x 5-1/4″ strip of Lost Lagoon card stock, leaving about 1/4″ showing. Add both of these layers to the bottom of the stamped Basic White layer.
- Attach these layers to the card front.
- Optional: use the same stamps and Lost Lagoon Classic Ink to stamp random images to the bottom portion of the other piece of Basic White card stock and attach it to the inside of the card.
- Stamp your greeting on the remaining piece of Basic White card stock using Lost Lagoon ink. Attach this stamped layer to the slightly larger piece of Lost Lagoon card stock. Attach this greeting layer to the card front using Dimensionals.
This is a wonderfully easy and uncomplicated card that uses very few supplies. I selected my card stock based on the colors found in the Hello, Irresistible 6″ x 6″ Designer Series Paper pack. Because I wanted a monochromatic card I also chose the same color of ink. No bling. At least not yet. I do own the Tinsel Gems Three-Pack which includes some Lost Lagoon gems and I’m thinking I might add three gems on at least one of my cards.
