The first weekend in December is always highlighted with card making machines coming to my mountain home. These are human card making machines. By the time they all leave on Sunday somewhere between 350-450 holiday cards have been made.
This year, for various reasons * , three regulars were missing and one ‘newbie’ joined us so our ‘machine’ totals were a bit lower, making “only” about 300 cards. *Memorial service, 50th birthday bash, moved to Idaho!
The weekend starts with a kickoff signature cocktail followed by Butternut Squash Soup. Usually we stamp after dinner, or at least get our projects set up. Then on Saturday we start off running — actually stamping — after a casual breakfast.
Now it’s time to get to the business of the weekend.
Saturday.
