ARE YOU READY FOR A JANUARY (OR WINTER) BIRRRRTHDAY CARD?

We made a lovely January birrrrrthday card at the Mi Wuk Library yesterday.  I can see lots of adaptations for the card as well.  I’ll be posting one as soon as I get it out of my head and on to paper.  But in the meantime, here’s yesterday’s card:

Sheltering Tree (137163) Birthday card

Doesn’t the card give you the impression of winter-y shivers?  I love its crisp simplicity.  You’ll need these supplies to create it:

Product List

Glue Dots

$5.25

Optional, in case you’d like to emboss the snow on the tree and on the ground:

Heat Tool

$30.00

Sheltering Tree (137163) Birthday card

Cutting measurements:

  • Whisper White Thick card stock:  8-1/2″ x 5-1/2″, scored at 4-1/4″ and folded in half
  • Basic Black card stock: 5-1/4″ x 4″
  • Smoky Slate card stock:  5-1/8″ x 3-7/8″
  • Silver Cording Trim:  about 30″

If you have any questions about putting the card together, please leave a comment below and I’ll answer it as soon as possible.  It’s really pretty easy.  TIP:  finish your stamping, attach the Smokey Slate to the Basic Black card stock, wrap the Silver Cording Trim around the two layers and then attach them to the card front.

When you have a lull in the frantic last minute preparations for Christmas and New Year’s, take a few minutes and make a few of these winter birrrrthday cards for your favorite recipients.  (psssst………yes, I’m a January baby and I have many January birrrrrthday friends!)
